The Besom Inn Coldstream
Situated on the busy A697 border crossing the Besom Inn is the first licensed establishment you will come across in Scotland. Dating back in some way or form to the 17th century, the former coaching inn now serves as a thriving bar and restaurant facility, enjoyed by locals and tourists alike.

The Bar has a welcoming traditional feel with an open fire for comfort and warmth on those cold winter days. Stocked with real ales, beers, lagers, Guinness and cider there is choice for everyone. All the usual spirits and wines are available along with an impressive choice of Scottish malts.

For dining there is a Lounge Area separate from the public bar which has a fascinating display of Coldstream Guard regimental memorabilia, much of which has been donated by ex guardsmen who regularly visit the besom for social meetings with their life long comrades.

Pool and darts are catered for in the Games Room where the Besom plays host to both ladies and gents dart teams who participate in the Coldstream and district leagues. We also have a pool team representing the Besom in a local league.

Functions can be organised and catered for in our newly refurbished Stable Bar which has undertaken a transformation which we are particularly proud of. This brilliant new facility can be booked for private functions up to sixty people.

Our Beer Garden which was established in 2007 is partially covered and heated for those cooler days and evenings, providing a lovely outdoor dining alternative or just a quiet haven for a drink with friends.
